i got the new final fantasy yesterday...

so far it's not bad... played it for a half hour or so and realized that you don't level up??? other than that i want to all the women in that game so far...

no you do level up.... just not a half hour into the game.... it's a bit odd to me. They have this thing where you spend points toward increasing the level of characters.... and each character accrues point independent of the others. I like the old way where your party would level up based on how you used them and their skills. This feels like you have less control and the fighting system, while faster, leaves me wishing I could control other members of my party directly. The graphics are cool and the story seems like it can be interesting. I'm a couple of hours into the game... can't tell ya how many because I paused it and walked off only to realize the timer keeps going.... sigh....

the leveling system has had luke warm reviews from the gaming community alot of them feel like its not a real FF game.

awaiting the time when i start it. it is sitting pretty next to the ps3. ive had it since it came out but i started all the ps-ps2 ff's and im hell bent on beating them 100% before i play 13. 7 is down and im having a hard time with 8 because it is sooooo boring. i hated this one out of all of them. but i will finish. 9 next 10 and 12. no eleven for me. wow was better. but i didnt get past lvl 10 in ff11. wow i stopped in the mid 40s.

The system for skills and stuff reminds me of the system in 10. ALOT. I like 12 alot, i also liked 8 the most. Squall was a good anti hero lol.
