Man, all this talk about Legos takes me back to when I worked at a mall. There was a Lego store and they had a section of the lobby devoted to the Lego store. No place to walk there were so many kids. I am glad Legos and Matchbox/Hotwheels are still around.

I wish lego technic were back. There is some still available, however, all this new space-type shit's gotta go. I hate it.

I had an erectorset and a few of the 'steel tec' sets. Miss those things. Sold in a yardsale a long time ago.

Never had an Erector set. I had Robotix and Capsella when I was a kid.

as far as mature thoughts go, I think for brain-building, good-for-your kids toys goes, i don't think there's anything better to teach kids the fundamentals of mechanics than Legos or Erector sets.

You need kids!
Erector sets, Lincoln Logs, Steel Tec, Legos and some kit that you built skyscrapers with (don't recall the name). Technic stuff was after my time but looks way cool. I have enjoyed helping my nephew with some of his new Lego sets.
