where do i get some ls6 heads
ok now i might be wrong but are ls6 heads the heads off a Z06? I have a 2001 Ws6 and would like to do a mild head upgrade and those heads sounded like a good idea. Where can i find some?

LS6 heads are off an ls6 motor - they put them in the t/a and Z06 - starting in 2001. Look around junk yards and the PFS/T area - someone might be selling some there.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

ok but they are the heads that first boosted the zo6 to 407 hp or whatever it was back in 2004 right? i figure if there about 80 horses over my stock ones it would be a decent swap

they were never on any F-body.most people get them used on E-bay or criaglist.you can buy new stock #243 heads from SDPC for $900 .for $1000 you can get new CNC #243 heads from TSP.check out their website for grate price .

oh well yes i would definately match the cam and get a tune.....and i know the heads wouldnt give me that kinda boost without a supporting cast of other things but its something im interested in.....just enough of a gain to keep the gt500's in my rearview

yes Texas Speed,scoggin-dicky parts center.1-800-456-0211.the Z06 was rated at flywheel power, must people at these forums deal with rear wheel power.check ls1 tech.

any bolt ons, headers, ORY, lid,ETC.?stock LS6 heads should gain you 20 hp,stage 1 LS6 heads from TSP will be a little more hp. TSP 224r cam kit should add 30 hp with the right bolt ons.

well i have a few bolt ons already, slp flopac, slp MAF,and 3" borla cat back. Im fixing to order either american racing headers or kooks longtubes and the fast 92/92 combo and i want to get a tune once the headers and intake are on......im only looking for around 400 hp to the rear wheels and i think those heads might give me the 40-50 hp boost i need

you should easily reach that.you will need to upgrade injectors to at lest #36.TSP offered #241s CNC with any TSP cam for $1100,I like the CNC #243 better.the fast 92mm combo is a 10 hp gain over a ls6/85 mm combo.will your tranny handle all the power?

hmmm it probably wont and the stock 10 inch prob wont either. Perhaps ill wait on the heads and cam till i beef up the tranny and rear end.........do u have any ideas what ill be pulling with just the headers, ypipe, intake combo, flopac and tune? im guessing about 365 rwhp maybe a lil more?
