diablo predator n k&n air intake hp will give me?
Just ordered my diablo predator n k&n air intake . How much HP will it give me? Got a 2002 ss camaro with no mods ..

Hate to be the one to give you bad news, but you won't gain anything from them. You might net like 5 HP as a result of going lean on your tune, but neither one are gonna do much for you HP wise.

You could also get a dyno tune from one of the local tuners, how much hp it nets varies but I saw a chart going from 329 to 344 at the wheels for a manual.

It's good to use to recalibrate your tach and speedo if you change gears or tire/rim sizes. Can change the temp your fans come on. Get in touch with Frost for a mail-order tune to boost up some hp. His ad cycles at the top. LTs and exhaust will help too.

yeah the diablos are about worthless. i got rid of mine and got a mail-order tune from frost.

You A4 or M6? If A4 then a stall TC isn't a HP boost but will certainly give it better acceleration potential.

i wont be quick to agree on this...although i dont know what the stock hp was at the tires, i had a k&n, ls1motorsports lid, and diablo tuner on my formula and put down 306hp and 331tq...im sure those numbers a a little higher than stock, as i was seeing stock 6 speed cars puttin down 280-290hp on the same dyno on the same day.

get a real tune for about 400, when i was greenhorn, i bought the predator from slp, went to dyno day local, we dynoed with the predator ,then took it back to stock, got 1 hp diff, i was pissed, raised hell with slp, i ended up selling it for 100.00, now i got jeff creech tune and my 02 ss raises hell at 430rwhp, with ls6 heads, cam, exhaust and his tune, im happy with 430 at the wheels, hell yes, im happy and my car is bad ass happy too,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,abby

My opinion is if you can find a diablo cheap enough used its worth it especially if you have a a4. You can change your shift firmness,shift points,change what degree your fans cut on,recalibrate your speedo for gears or tires,you can also turn off the 02 sensors which come in handy with long tubes,and turn off the skip shift on the m6. You can also read trouble codes which can come in handy. So I wouldnt say there garbage if your buying one for the right reasons,but if your just looking for hp save your money. I would never drop 400 on a new one Id much rather have a real tune. Mail order tune would also be better if you can afford to be without you car for a couple of days.
