Yea, if you really want the LS1 F-Body, i'd see if i could find one of those first for your price range.
If not that, I'd see if i could maybe try and find a 4v SN95 cobra, or maybe, just maybe you can find a N/A new edge cobra for around 9k. Probably not though.Last edited by Transamws6; 03-19-2010 at 11:36 AM.

I waited 2 years to find mine. the market fell out and they came to me. Finding a hawk in that range was just icing on the cake. Shouldn't be too hard if you just give it a few weeks. I'm sure there are a lot of LS1's that will be up in VT MA RI and CT that might suit you.
took me all of 30 seconds to find this in your area.... have fun!

For $9,000 only LT1 car to look at is a C4 or SS Impala... Year or so ago, I drove my 98 Trans Am slightly modded and mostly impulse buy for just $8,000 (out the door), from a dealer. It was not a bad deal, or a good deal... But I had them throw brand new tires on it also before I bought.
EditL: Shit, for $6,000 I will sell you my Vette, with newer tires in the rear and drive it to you, lol...

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
DONT BUY A LT1...
-opti-spark
-intake manifold oil leaks
-reverse flow cooling system/banjo bolts
are just a few things that crap out and are a pain to fix. ls1 cars barely leak and are easy to work on..
search ls1tech.com alot of guys are selling partially modded for cheap prices

Don't impulse buy on a car. You have a few weeks before summer, start looking. Search the forums for used cars. There is a sticky in the General Section on some common things to look for when buying, I think Pajeff made one also.
Forget the LT1, That's a step backwards in car buying.
