Chili Earthquake Deaths: 497
Haiti Earthquake Deaths: 230,000
Injured: 300,000
Yeah, not focusing on Haiti makes perfect sense
And for your information, there are massive amounts of aid being given to Chile from over 50 nations and countless organizations. Just because it isn't being force-fed to you through a national news network doesn't mean it isn't happening.

haiti has a lot of socio-economic problems that it has been contending with for a long time. the quiake was just another problem. chile on the other hand...and it is pronounced spelled chile not chili (chili is a thick stew of beef beans and spices) has a stable and strong central government as compared to chile as well as a diversified economy capable of withstanding natural disasters. chile doesn't need help on the level that haiti does.

Comparing Haiti to Chile is like comparing a rose to a pile of doggy doo. Chile has a far stronger infrastructure and much more capable and favorable government.

theirs a hugh diffrence between the 2.
example: if there was 2 people that got shot and only one was wearing a bullet proof vest, who would you help more?
Haiti = no vest
Chile = Vest
