LS6 heads?
I've heard that LS6 head swaps are pretty common. I have an '01 T/A WS6 and my dad seems to believe that it has LS6 heads on it. I know for a fact that it does have an LS6 intake manifold but I have no idea about the heads. Is there any way to tell without removing them from the car? I'm in the process of pulling the engine out right now but I was just wondering if there was a way to tell while it's just sitting there.

243=ls6 head
241=ls1 head
He might be confused, some of the 01,02 blocks were ls-6 but you don't see a power increase from that.

yeah the LS1 has a circle, most know of it being called a bullseye, it is where the cylinder head meets the block on the passneger side on the front top, look around you will see what i mean. The LS6 block doesnt have this

awesome, i just checked mine and its not their, their is just a kind of indent from the casting process, with like a sandy finish, not that its any more hp than the ls1 but its pretty neat to know i actually have an ls6 block
