Wait... I thought he was the one being cocky about his car? Tell him next time not to bother opening his big mouth if hes just gonna back out like a pussy! And he obviously doesn't have anything better to do if he's tryin to get you to run in the first place.
Congrats on the stang kill too! Details? It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

I agree with most things wesman says on here.. If you read the OP's posts we all have to agree with celica owner is a complete dumbshit, whether or not you know somebody with a fast honda doesnt matter, this is a celica mentioned in the thread.. I cant understand why these guys are allowed to get wesman all fired up in these threads that have nothing to do with the post.. wtf does a crx, civic, or subaru have to do with this thread? "turbohatch" those are a couple of nice looking cars but if someone asked who wins a race between a trans am vs a celica.. I dont jump in and say "I have a 10 second crx" .. I dont get it?? And the pictures you found on the internet of dumbass looking camaros/mustangs is somehow relevent?

Well, Wesman is wrong on many points. He is basing claims on what he thinks rather than actual experience with imports. He has never been in or worked on a very fast import, so he has no basis to claim that imports are trash and can't be fast. That is why the thread took a turn for the worst.

the relevance is only after he made the misinformed all imports are rice kind of remarks, thus opening the window for non celica based comments, it was a simply matter of the topic getting shifted not at all based on the celica it self and we was just correcting his misinformation, understand now? has any one heard from the OP lately to see how the race is going?

My old boss is from Frederick and has rental property in Hagerstown, said he knows a guy who owns (or used to own) a shop nearby one of those 2 places (can't remember which). Anyways, he owned the "worlds fastest supra". I'll have to show him these videos and see what kind of input he has. Anyways, not meaning to thread jack, but from what I saw in the supra video it looked as if he was racing another one
Then again, I was only able to catch a few fractions of a second to be able tell. Whatever, I've always liked the Supras... RWD, Turbo, long hood, short sleek hatch... badass

Supras are cars I give respect to. Know a few guys that have built them to near 1000 hp. Could be a fun project! Would it be wrong to build one and still hunt ricers in it?

I've wondered the same
A guy I went to HS with a few years back owned a '88 or '89 turbo supra and said that the later model ones could handle near 900HP on a stock bottom end. He never told me how he acquired this information but I would think you'd have to be pushing massive boost to get to those numbers? Would still like to have one someday, if they'd ever come down in price

Most I know go with a TT setup and some other engine work. Lighter cars too. Agreed on the price - could build mine to be much quicker with that kinda cash. Although now that I think of it, I may have enough $$$$ in mods to equal buying one lol!

Thank you. I'm glad someone sees that the import brigade is to blame. If you state your opinion around here, all of a sudden you have ricers jumping on you like flies on shit and posting up completely unrelated videos to try and make you "respect" their riceburners
Ricers never cease to amaze.

Wesman please stop talking, they aren't ricers and the insults just keep coming from you. And 00Z28HUBBA way to bring everything back up, you the man.
As for the Supras, my dad owned an 87' i think? turbo supra. It was a quick little car and thats from 87' not a newer model
