Service vehicle light?
I just put on an SLP lid a couple days ago, but the cars been sitting in the garage for the most part. I took it out last night and the service vehicle light came on. Could this be cause by the lid? I plan on checking for codes and hitting the parts shop anyways. On a side note somehow a buddy talked me into putting 87 octane in for the first time ever, and I'm wondering if that could be why.

My guess is it isn't the lid. Even if the lid was loose, it's before your MAF, so there isn't any "unnoticed" air going into the engine.
I would guess it's the gasoline you used and I would hit your friend over the head with a baseball bat.
Just a guess on my end.....but I wouldn't be surprised if you now have some knock from detonation and one of your knock sensors is triggering your code.
Get the code read and post up the code number.

Just got back from some shops and of course the light is gone and no codes are being thrown, picked up some octane boost and gonna top the tank off with 91, in hopes of not seeing the light again.

87 octane = lawnmower gas...
Not performance vehical gas...

Sounds stupid but make sure your gas cap is on properly. It may take a day of driving for the light to go off. Service engine lights are usually associated the emissions system…also, you may need a new gas cap….the seals on these cars are getting dried out.

The "Service vehicle light" has nothing to do with OBDII, your engine, or what gas you use.

My Service Vehicle Soon light comes on if the car idles for a while.
It is the body control module....getting set off because of the motor rocking with the lope.
Requires a TechII to pull the code.

Did you check the tension setting on the harmonic balancer belt and pulley assembly?
