To what extent are the bolt-ons? One thing's for sure, they're much heavier, and don't hook like a Vette(considering both are stock suspension).

Yep, in a vette of course. Nothing's ever apples to apples. I just really love roots superchargers so..

Forgot about the ls7. So the total is lsa, ls9, and ls7 that are competitive bolt ons vs bolt ons

but to get a LS7 ... either you get a Z06 , which most people couldnt afford, or you had to get a crate engine ...

People also can't afford the ls7 crate engine 12k is about as cheap as I've seen and you don't get much for your money. The lsx 454 gmpp crate is cheaper and makes 620 horsepower, it's probably overpriced too

Now if Ford would just do the same thing again and offer a SC version of a GT , which by the way you can order but not as a different car , then we would have something ...

Bottom line if you like it then get what you like. I agree it will be a quick sombitch out there on the road. Most LS1's won't hang and the ones that do will be more or less LSX's.

It's a bullshit arguement. As another person said, you can buy a 5.0 late 80's early 90's Mustang and run 11's and even 10's on the same amount of money as you're talking about.

Not everyone that spends $50K+ on any car gives a fuck if they can or can't beat every/any other car on the road. The fact is, me/you/he/she/they won't.

How true of a statement. People who can spend 50k on a car can honestly give a shit that somebody else will buy a used car (somebody elses headache) then spend a ton of money to make it go faster and beat your new headache free car. While a 10 year old car can be made to go faster , its still 10 years old.
