There was no little link or anything to click that gave you more info like if it was only specificly a new car or only 09-10 models or anything so I just went with it. Not sure if it really matters as your still paying taxes on it whether its new or used.

if I enter the exact same info in each one, each site gives me a different return amount. With that that being said, I file with the one that is the highest and it works every year..

I feel you....I filed eztaxreturn last year and was told I should try turbo tax this year. I fig I'd fill out both to see what the return would be.

I am single...no dependents. Last year between state and federal I owed 42 dollars. Too depressed to even file this year.

Personal Property Tax

Enter in your Ad Valorem tax, exclude amount paid for actual car tags.

Trying for that auto tax reduction. What do they mean, my parents don't get it either...

So far says I have to pay, was afraid of that. But trying for some deductions, so figure I would try and get money back from my cars.

Turbo tax does ask you if you have purchased cars or paid tax on vehicles....check em out. They have a free version.

Just did mine tonight, although i have to mail mine in because of the 'New Home buyer Credit", although they said it will take around "Two weeks' to get my return direct deposited. Should get back a hefty chunk of change..

Yepp, im in north carolina im sure every state is differnt but if you purchased a home between Apr 09 and the end of 09 the government gives you 8,000 credit. Which means an extra 8 grand coming my way plus normal taxes.
There way of "stimulating" the realestate piece of the economy...

Mailed the forms out this morning and putting it out of my mind to prevent spending. Coworker informed me there is another stimulus check coming. Dunno if it's true.
