when i hook up my cables to the audio out for the stereo, its like they're getting power but no sound. and people have told me to get a switcher to run to the tv, but i dont know how to run it to the tv

ok first i would ensure that the stereo is set on auxilery mode for what your trying to get sound out of then i would ensure that you have pluged the RCA jacks to the back of the stereo in the input slots

or maybe turn it all off and wait for the little click that you will here that puts the tv into stand by then turn it all back on and see if that works

also see if there is any settings in the tv menu that say anything about it like mono/stereo
