Lol its ok everytime me and my hubby drive in his car we either get pulled over ! have to run from cop lights! or we get chased by a police helicopter!! .. and that is my life story lol. cops are on power trips most of the time.I have a cousin that is a police officer and guess what we never !!! ever!! EVER! TALK hense the reason why?there are some good cops .. but when it comes to most of them they are dusch bags!

When he ran your plate it showed to be stolen he stopped u and then found out it was a different state but same plate # guess what he was doing his job...... If ur car was stolen u would want some one running plates to find your car.

Think about this one for a second........they 'say' they were looking for a stolen car, with the same plate number, but it was out of state? Right?

Even IF that was true, I don't necessarily have an issue with that(cops doing their job to find stolen vehicles) - BUT

Again, think about it - when stolen vehicles are reported, the law enforcement agencies are given the year, make and model of the car that's stolen, along with the license plate.

Did the OP ever both to find out the make/model of the "stolen" vehicle in question? I'll bet thousands that says it was not a Firehawk Trans Am from another state with the same license plate number that was reported stolen.

I believe, in this instance, they made up some bullshit story about stopping you. Yes, the OP was speeding, but they didn't pull him over for speeding.

Sorry for making such a big deal about this, my grandfather had a stroke a few days ago and shits just getting to me more then it should. To the people saying that I was in the wrong for speeding, you should read up a few posts about our state laws here, it's a no ticket offense for 5 or less over the posted speed limit. I just would like to know why I was pulled over when there was a vehicle next to me with a burnt out headlight, and there was no probable (sp?) cause for pulling me over. On a good note, I did recieve an appology from the commanding officer and he will have a chat with the officer's lack of communication in the incident.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, hope he'll be alright...i'm also sorry that i dont read up on another state's speeding laws in my leisure time as well as ordinances for your specific county...the officer that pulled you over might drive a blue oval, that cud be why he pulled you over.
