He is 6 , we saved enough money over the year so he has a nice Chrismas this year ...as always ,Plus my In laws spoil him rotton. last year they got him a ps2 and about 10 games plus a ton of other things. this year they are getting him a wii and some games and a ton of other stuff. Then we go down to see my family in VA and they spoil him. we go down with lots of room in the saturn vue and come back with almost no room lol.
Mom's care packages for me are the best part.usually a couple cases of martins BBQ chips(3 huge bags per box) a shit load of the family sized teabags, and anything else that I cant get up here in yankeeland. I also hit the Amish bakery, and cheese shop. the Cheese shop(that is the actual name) has every spice known to man, sell in bulk anything you could possibly want for baking. They also have meats, jams and jellies, candies, nuts, eggs all sorts of goodies. the bakery is just that all sorts of cakes, pies, breads, rolls and other goodies.
My son is big into legos now,I already picked up a few Indiana jones, and star wars sets for him. obviously he is into star wars, indiana jones and batman now. We watch at least 2 of the movies every tues and thurs night with a huge bowl of pop pop (thats what he calls popcorn) when the wife is at school. I can't help but to laugh because he gets the same goofy look of pure joy that I did watching those movies when they originally came out.
That my Friends is what it is about, the pure joy and appreciation that a child gets when he or she opens a gift and it is something the been begging for. Once we get a big enough house (3 br at least) we are going to convert one BR into a play room and I am going to build a huge table for his legos, hell I am 35 and still play with the damn things

Hey cuervo, I don't know what your son is like, but in a few years you could buy an engine block or cheap car to build. That would have been cool as hell when I was a kid instead of wasting money on nitro r/c's and other assorted crap that I don't use anymore. Maybe i'm weird though.

I'll just be satisfied for everyone in my family and Philly's to be healthy for Christmas... I've been blessed the past year or so with what I have so as silly as it sounds, I don't really want anything .. I'd rather buy for people who do need or want something themselves.
