He's looking at the rated number of 300-325 for the F-Body. You are exactly right since the F-Body was underated.

Charger 4200/370 = 11.35 lbs/hp

LS1 Fbod 3550/315 = 11.26 lbs per hp.

Pretty darn close.

Have you ever seen those Cherokees take off??? 0-60 in like a heartbeat. They are fast as shit out of the hole, but then aerodynamics take over every second.
Not a fan of Mopar at all, but I do respect vehicles that put what power they have to the pavement no matter what they are.
A friend of mine has one and out of the hole he will smoke my ass. By 80 I'm coming with a full head of steam though and will pass him every time.

Guide for the stockish to bolt-ons F-body:

SRT-4: Run these FWD guys from a dig, and you'll win every time. Refuse the roll request.... some are very fast with the right turbo setup.

SRT-8 CHARGER: These things are boats, but have a good amount of horsepower. It should be a drivers race with a slight advantage to the F-body. They respond well to bolt-ons... beware.

SRT-8 CHALLENGER: Same as the Charger. They are a bit heavy, but have a decent amount of power. Again, should be a drivers race. They also respond well to bolt ons.... beware.

SRT-10 RAM: These aren't to difficult to beat in stock form. If you can drive your F-body, you shouldn't have a problem. They're effectiveness drops on the top end due to poor aerodynamics and weight.

SRT-10 VIPER: Bring at least a heads/cam setup or don't even try. If you're car isn't trapping in the solid 120mpg range, you don't stand a chance.

BTW, all these cars are gay....

Most of the peole that I've seen with SRT8's are posting 370 stock with a few in the high 360's and a couple as high as 390.

12.85 @ 108mph and you hanvet lost to any f-bodys? You must not be racing too many, i went a 12.8 @ 111mph with 3 bolt ons and a tune in my m6 f-body. Any cammed or better f-body would rick roll you.

thats what i was thinking to when he said that, my old 2k Auto WS6 had full bolt ons, stock stall and street tires and it went [email protected] and i never lost to any charger, challenger or Cherokee

haha true i raced 2 srt4s last night and won against both, one had a bigger turbo and was running 20psi and i raced him from a roll after we raced from a dig adn he put like 3 cars on me but i eventually ran him down cuz he sucked at shifting

Sounds typical. I beat one from a roll when he missed 5th gear. He said he never had to shift into it while racing before LMAO.

A cam and bolt-ons can take care of almost any srt-4.

i also raced some drunk guy i met at a gas station with a 95 mustang 5.0 that apparently had heads cam intake and such well i raced him and it wasnt fast i pulled 2 cars on him then let off and he flew past me and never let up i was like i bet that douche thinks he just won haha

mine weight in a exactly 4160 on the CAT scale

so my charger 4160/413whp=10.07lbs/whp 413 was same a base just alot colder so it corrected to that # w/out the tune.
yeah fergyflyer, but i'm currently in Afganastan so it's gonna be a little longer than a 3 hr drive. ha ha. Zinergy, if i were in milwaukee i would be running better than in VA in the heat and humidity of the summer after a 3.5 hr drive to VMP from Newport News. the dyno sheet displayed was the base dyno. un fortunately i spilled water on my other sheets so you can't read the graph just the #s so i didn't post them.

ive also raced an automatic 2010 ss twice and won from a roll. I loose horribly from a dig though because i cant afford new tires

I raced against an SRT4 at Firebird a few weeks ago. He suprised me. I raped him out of the hole (1.74 60') but he was catching up at the top end. I ran a 12.84 to his 12.92.

Later in the pits I asked him about his car. He had a bigger aftermarket turbo and accompanying mods + exhaust and he had a few other things done to it.

I have LT + !cats + X-pipe + TD's with Magna Flows turned down at the axle. I also have 3.73 gears, Mid-West chassis T/A and a 3400 stall + I had 255/60-16 MT DR's.

Density altitude was ~3500' and temp was ~65*F.

Needless to say I was impressed.

My car= SLP lid & magnaflow cat-back....had it to the track twice...best is 13.1@109....

Raced 2 SRT8 challengers last time i was there...both were M6s and both were running low 13.3s-13.5s w/ 106-107 traps...and yes i know that both were SRT8s for sure
