Welp, there are those business owners who live to take others for granted...something I was raised to be against. If I see something wrong, I immediately point it out. I have a conscience, the owner of that shop...ummm...NO.

I would keep the cars so i would adjust what money I get with what the cars are worth . for example (not sure if this is real pricing) if the cars are worth combined 150k and I sold everything for 20 million (he owns 4 shops soon to be 5 a house in florida, conn on the beach and one in NY state and several other cars that are not classics that I would want) divide that with 10employees(after I got rid of the worthless ones) thats 2 mil a piece subtract 150 k from my 2 mil which gives each employee an extra 15k

once again I am sure those are not the actual numbers, just done this way for an example and easy math cause I suck at math .Willing to bet my math is off on this as is

please, he didn't want you to leave. By leaving you took control. you see how all the sudden he offered you the "moon" so to speak. I also hear alot of "Have you talked to Rich"

whoever: have you talked to Rich
    me: yea
whoever: do you think we can get him back
me: are you(in the case of the boss) or is the boss retireing and turning the shop over to his younger brother
    whoever:no
me: ok then that is the same answer you will get from him on coming back

Speaking of his RS/SS maro, I remember when he wanted me to drive up to his house, cout his grass and change his oil. If I live long enough to have a family of my own I am raising my kids the way I was raised. Learn to do things on their own.

Actually at this point I hate working on cars so bad ,I don't even want to mess with mine or the wifes. If I was to open a buisness it would be more along the line of furniture making ,landscaping or farming. which I love all 3. have the buisness large enough to live off of but small enough I can do it by myself or the wife and son(when he is old enough of course)

Sounds somewhat like the shop I just left. The service manager is a d-bag and they could really use a good replacement. I stayed their for 4 years and finally found another job, that payed much better. Might have been luck but I could always go back into the auto field with my experience and ASEs. They have a good group of techs, just a bunch of dumb asses running the place. I hope to build my own shop in January, working on the ground blows, LOL.

One of these day I swear I am going to ask him if he needs me to do his wife as well.most likely before I quit. you heard what I told Jerry i would say if he called me while I was on vacation.

    me: fine
    boss: what are you doing
    me: your wife

he has called Jerry in and spencer in I am sure tried it with more while they were on vacation. Thats why I tend to leave the state when I go on vacation.

one of those you-pick raspberry farms would make a shitload of money. Then, you get a pond and stock it with fish and charge the kids to rent fishing poles to catch fish while they pick raspberries. Im talking like 1000 dollars per acre. You wouldnt even have to do much harvesting.

Yup. Like when I would go to the Poconos in July and Albany, NY in August. He HATED that. Not to mention the interrogation he gave me about turning off my cell on my vacations. Man, he did NOT like that.

just for the record I was a very nice person when I moved up here,I am easy to get along with. However after 7.5 years of living up here and working for and with asshats I turned into an asshole...but only when I need to be.Sometimes I use it at the wrong times for example

wife: honey can you fold the clothes for me
me: WTH DO I LOOK LIKE YOUR EFFEN MAID.......oops
    her: WHAT?!!!
ME: nothing bad day wrong person sorry.

nah more along the lines of some livestock, veggie gardens and fruit trees. that way what we don't eat or can be sold at a farmers market. may do a combo of the 3 do the farming, have a greenhouse and sell flowers and make furniture. Like most southerners jack of all trades master of none.Seriously I do have mad skills in alot of things.Opens up the prospects a bit

Paid me $12.50/hr but with the boss' policies took home $350/wk working 5 days. Took home $460/wk working 6. But we had to pay half of one policy and ALL on another policy, which took almost $180 out of my weekly pay.

I don't , I get in his face and do not back down. one day I was so pissed everyone thought I was gonna slug him. I was maybe an inch from his face yelling at him. all was quiet for the rest of the day....I mean hardly anyone spoke to anybody.....well other than Rich, Jerry and I.
