This For That: My New Ride
I got myself into a trade yesterday. And just in time for winter too! Traded my 95 monte carlo for this 97 blazer.....i have done quite a bit of trading in the last year, lol. Bought a 88 bronco a few years ago, traded it for the monte, now trading the monte for the blazer...no cash out of pocket on any of them haha. so i cant complain...the blazer is loaded down leather full options the works. everything but sunroof. awd also...only thing is there is a input seal that went out between the trans and xfer case so she likes to leak some trans fluid (which will hopefully be fixed today) and the trans mount is shot, so much that it allows some flexign and allows the front driveshaft's u joints to beat the crap out of the floor. ( nothng a lil hammer action cant fix for the mean time) haha but im happy...thought id share
Now Thankfully i can put the camaro away
bought this:

Traded for this:

which i then traded for this:

I think those blazers have a little storage area in the back for the spare fuel pump you'll need.
Intake gaskets like to leak on those motors too. I have a 97 sonoma highrider. Been a great truck overall and now has 122k miles on it. They all have to be worked on and I guess with the vortec's it's nice knowing up front what it is you're gonna have to do to it.

yea that pic was of the good side of the bronco....but what u guys also didnt know was the motor was shot in the bronco...both the front and rear main seals were gone so it literally poured oil out everytime i drove it. the motor was losing oil pressure when i drove it too....if i was ar highway speeds it could barely maintain oil pressure, but if i came to a stop it would lose pressure completly and start to tick. also like i said it was losing power it honestly didnt have enough power to get it self into ovr drive. and if it did it would make one hell of a bang when it caught over drive. she had a 25 gallion tank of it, so it was expensive to fill, but on average i would only get about 180 mile per tank so i know she was very vey tired......so i was glad to trade it off for the monte

What motor was in the monte?

oh tell me about it....that wasnt all he did to it...i usually parked it infront of my house with the keys in the center console (just a habit fof mine living it tiny ass farm towns) well he apparently got into it and was driving it around one nite smoking itn it throwing his ciggarettes in my car and left a pack of cigs in it...then i dont know what he did from there but all i can think was he drove it in the river? and brought it back cuz the entire floor was covered with about 3 inches of water.....then he went under the hood na dhad a hay day. cutting and pulling wires then cut the intake line....
