Finally running.......again
Wooohooo!!!!! Been down for a year....literally! Finally got her fired up and a break in tune. Waited 4 months for the machine shop to finish the engine. I had a clearance issue with the last engine and smoked like a california wildfire. As soon as the break in is done I can finally install my F1C procharger. Here are the specs on the new setup
LQ9 bored .030 over
Speed in blower cam SC4 234/240 .576/.588 114
Patriot Stage 68cc Stage 3 heads
Comp R Lifters
MTI pushrods
Diamond inboard forged race pistons 4.030 with a -28cc dish
Eagle Forged 4.00 Crank and rods
Custom Blueprinting and Balancing
High Flow Pump
JWS Timing Chain
ARP Head Studs and Mains
FAST 92 mm manifold
Edelbrock 90 mm TB
Edelbrock 1 7/8 headers
Borla Catback
So far on the lean break in tune she's pushing about 410 rwhp on 8.9:1 CR.
Next step is a custom F1C Procharger setup. Shooting for 800 rwhp

Very, very nice build. 800 rwhp should be in that easily. Did you buy the Procharger kit? What intercooler did you go with? This thing is gonna scream, street car?

More details! What pulley setup are you going with?

Nice numbers. Next question, how in the world are you going to get all of this horsepower to hook-up with the pavement? I'm pushing about 425rwhp, and spin all the way through 2nd gear. Wow, I can only imagine almost double the HP!!!

I'm actually running a custom kit that I'm piecing together. Still researching the pulley sizes but I'm going to give Bob at EPP when I'm ready to order. Engine is in and going through the break in. Running smooth so far and no issues. I've got another 4500 miles to break in completely then I'm going to get my tune for just the engine done to get some n/a base numbers

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I love the look of a clean motor. Right down to the machined look of the heads.

Damnit, how many more miles left?
I wanna see this SC on and running with numbers with some good 1/4 pass's.... tomorrow
This is alot like the build Ive been pricing out for months and really want to see it completed.
What fuel system did you go with? Details on it would be nice. Ive priced out what I think is a very stout fuel system, but then turn around and see people running alot of stock componets.
What rear gear are you going with?

I'll fix the links to the pictures tonight when I get off work. But as far as getting the car to hook, suspension is going to be a work in progress. I have 500 miles left before I can get off the lean tune and a full on tune. Then I have to tack on another 5000 miles before the blower setup can be dropped in. As far as fuel system goes, I'm looking at a custom setup with a new tank. But thats only one option. Another setup I'm looking at is a double pumper setup. I'm still researching my options for the fuel setup. As far as traction goes I just need to change out my rearend. It's getting some miles so I'm looking into a Moser M9 setup. Gear ratio, I'm looking into that as well but I may stick with the 3.73's. My buddy is pushing 700 with his F1 setup and I may follow the same route as him with a few tweaks here and there to support the F1C

I have dealt with Bob and been to their shop in Columbia, IN numerous times over the last 6 months. Bob is an outstanding guy to deal with.
Their customer service is top notch.
