Loudmouth Question
I looked and couldn't find anything on it...so I hope it's not a repost. How in the hell can the Loudmouth be legal with that resonator/muffler? There's NOTHING in it...no baffling, no nothing! It basically has one section of pipe, the resonator, that is a little larger in diameter than the rest of the system. I would have thought it would've been considered straight pipe and therefore illegal.
thanks

Who knows? They assume you run this exhaust with cats on the car.

the cats are what makes it legal/not legal. The cats are right after the stock manifolds. If you havent changed them everything is still legal
and even if you do as long as you put cats back on and not get an ORY your good.

Technically it is illegal because you can see through it. but SLP offers a document that states that it has been certified 50 state legal.
I run around in counties in Florida near Tampa with Long tube headers, No cats, and a loudmouth 2. I have never goten pulled over for it being to loud and I am an automatic car with a stall but we have no inspections here. I also ran the loud mouth 2 with stock manifolds, factory cats, and no stall and it was nice. I liked that sound very much but then again I love the sound of long tubes, no cats, and basically straight pipes.

I think it also varies by state. A family member of mine is a sherrif and I asked him the same question a while back. Basically, catted is obviously legal but loud exhaust works best in the probable cause laws. It makes for a great excuse for cops to pull you over and see what else they can write you up for.
BTW, I have a glasspack in place of the resonator, makes awesome rumble with also the rap/crackle sound. Its a good alternative to keep the LM exhaust over ditching it because of the noise.

My LM2 made babies cry, so I can't hate on it there. Its all subjective to who is listening anyways.

Not to mention their service is def lacking. I myself never had a problem, but I have friends who have horror stories. I think Luos can attest to that as well.
