Always. And, on the Internet... there are usually 3 or 4

Your car is beautiful. You've done a great job keeping it that way.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

no reason to use an entire claybar while doing your car. Maybe 1/3 or 1/2...just keep kneading it and have a bucket of hot water with a touch of soap in it nearby. Dunk the clay in every once in a while to warm it up/make it soft, the water will act as a lubricant and the soft clay will pick up more.

Yep, that's exactly how I do it with mine. It always gets better results. I've also used the Zaino detailer sprays as a lubricant.

I've never used one. I'm going to have to try it though.

Will it take out swirl marks and hard water spots?

Hard water spots, yes. Swirl marks, no. You'll need a mild abrasive for those. Or you can just invest in some Zaino and fill them in.

I don't have many. But you can see some on the sail panel.

We have super hard water here. I only wash my car in the shade when it's cool outside. Which means either early morning or early evening...

But, before I put on the Manta, I'd like to give it a good going over.

Our local Kragen carries it. So, I'm assuming most auto parts stores would.

You can get a clay bar at pretty much any auto supply store.

When I get one of those pesky light scratches or swirl marks, I'll go over them with some Zaino and it usually fills them in. If they're beyond that, I get out the PC buffer and use some mild abrasive 3M product to remove them.

Yeah, I bought some of that Meguiar's ScratchX stuff a while back. It did OK. But, I wasn't thrilled with it. It does work well on little scratches that pop up out of no where though. I still don't understand where they come from. I keep my car covered up and only park in isolated areas when I drive it

There are a few spots that could use a mild buffing on my car. Like everything else, I have to get around to it

I would never use that crap on my car and if your car stays outside, it's just gonna happen. Something as trivial as a leaf blowing over your finish could scratch it.

I actually think it works well on the scratches...

Yup. We're still having the garage wars around here One of these days, I'll get him to get his crap out of the garage so my car can go in

I do keep it covered up though. Well, 98% of the time.

Oh, you use a car cover on it? Taking that on and off would explain the scratches then.

Car covers and Bra's are bad for your paint. They act like sand paper if dust gets between them and your paint.

Not too sure about that- I used 4star claybar with PLENTY of lube and it still micro marred the small section I did. Not sure if they make more aggressive clay or what.
