the 2009 zr1 doesnt have launch control, the 2010 is supposed to get it

Hi guys my friends has got a new ZR1 w/ headers & exhaust sys and he says that he went to the DYNO and make a great 530 RWHP !!!
can I smoke him with my 99 C5 with heads & cam which a make 450 RWHP ???
for a 1/4 mile ???

Is this a C4 ZR-1 or a C6 ZR1? A C6 ZR1 can make 530rwph bone stock.

Ok, everyone wants to argue, but the facts are this 09 zr1 will beat his vette. neither have Launch control, both are 6spd's (Im assuming yours is an m6). The ZR1 likely has the better traction unless your running drag radials or slicks. It's also made to crush the 0-60 (does 60 in 1st) giving him a good gain, then outrunning you on pure power. A real good driver will do low 11's in a zr1. If I were to guess, I'd assume you run high 11's, of course that is assumptive.

Thats waht were saying we dont know enough about the cars. A 450whp c5 vette that hooks hard can go 10s.

+1000 My car can do 11's with my set up if traction isn't a issue His vette could rape the ZR1 if setup properly. Too much info not known to make an assumption.
