Why should we pay sales tax, when we transfer, The Original owner paid the tax at the stealership!!!!
We don't pay double tax when we resell shit at a garage sale..... Or any where else.... Why on cars????

I've heard or maybe they already do tax stuff sold on ebay and such. I think if you make a certain dollar amount they expect you to.
I totally agree with not having to pay tax on used cars for the same reason. But think of how much money they would lose. Worse part is now the PA DMV will send a letter if you pay too much under book for a car and expect a written sales agreement or you have to pay the full tax. Which makes no sense because the buyer and seller have to go to the notary office for the trasnfer and they sign everything there... what's it matter if you would lie there or send a letter.

Lots of fun laws like that. I you were to win a lottery and, taking the lump sum payment option, you were given $100 million, you would net somewhere around what, $60 million. Then you decide to give $10 million of that to a relative. The relative would have to pay tax on it, AGAIN. Now that's totally fucked up.

They will getou the nada book and check the price then if you pay under the value they want a form filled out explaining why. Yet they do this, you both sign, then they will come back a month later and want a bill of sale and so on from the seller. That's the part I don't get.
I meant as far as earned income, new or used. And yeah there is tax on in state stuff from businesses.

in MO, if you buy a vehicle for less than the previous vehicle that you sell, no taxes.
mine are cancelled out in late fees though
