I would go with the stall that puts you closest to where your cam starts to make its best power.lockup or no lockup would really come down to what kind of driving you useally do. if you dont highway drive it much then a non lockup would be your best bet

our torque converters are lock up, not really an option to go the other way and no reason to, 3600 stall is popular.

3600 Locker... Still very streetable ! I run a TCI 4600 locker and love it. It will still lock in at 1800 rpm to cruise. If I get cam bucking, I just tap the brake pedal to release it to bring up the rpms a little. You might not even have this, I'm running a big cam.

to go non-lock up you have to have something done to the inside of the trans for it to work right without setting off codes. the part was like 40 bucks when i had mine built earlier this year. i'm running a 2800 non-lock up with triple anti-balloon plates, something like that. just all i can remember. i do wish i would've went bigger to a 3200. i drive around town alot and i don't have any problems other than extremely poor gas mileage. i would've bought a prius or a civic if i wanted the efficiency. overall, i like my non-lock up. i like the quick revs i can do while rolling without the nose of the car jumping.
