lawyer.
if you have access, try smoking the mustangs at the track next time. at least then you get a timeslip instead of a fatty ticket.

Black- 2002 Camaro SS (crashed)
Yeah, I with the other guys, you better lawyer up. The cost is high but he can at least get a lot of it reduced and perhaps save you license. If you have to get a loan and pay it off. Better to get that shit reduced or it will come up later it life
example: Here in SoCal, there was a guy how had a bunch of speeding ticket when he was younger, racing, burn outs, that sort of crap. He was a clean driver for 6 year but ended up getting in a traffic accident were the other driver died. He is now facing second degree murder charges because he had so many tickets in his past, that the state prosecuted him as a mense Even though he went to traffic school and paid his find, those tickets stay on your permanent record and can still be used again you.
example 2: I got ticketed for going 120 in a 55. the charges were, speeding, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, reckless endangerment of a minor (we were both under 18), racing, resisting arrest (anything over 100 is resisting). I got a lawyer $2,000 in 1998 was a lot for me and she had everything dropped to just to speeding. I did traffic for a month but it was worth it. Its tough to get auto insurance with that crap in your historyLast edited by Soltakr; 08-24-2009 at 07:16 AM.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
i haven't read anyone elses responses, but YES get a lawyer immediately, they might have some connections or favors they can pull for you. Hell, i went to court and the prosecutor literally said "i don't konw how to charge him, we've never had a street racing case before" so they busted it down to something else

i once had to go to court for 3 tix
2 from an accident (with my iroc)
- failure to obey signal (went thru a red turn signal) 2 points
- careless driving 2 points
1 for tailgating (bullshit)
- car infront of me was stopping at every street courner and was prob lost looking for a street name.. so when he stopped i crawled behind him and stopped too.. the cop said he was brake checking me and gave me a ticket up the street from my house.
got a lawyer and he happend to be close with the judge (female) and she combined the 2 from the accident to 1 unsafe (no points) and dropped the tailgating
so i had no points... so id recomend the lawyer2001 Camaro SS M6 SLP LMII, Lid

Get a GOOD lieyer, check one out that deals with this stuff and has good repore with the courts jurisdiction. Pay now or pay later.
When in these situtations or others dealing with the government, be polite, do not try to explain and do not admit to anything.
There is an old saying that holds true today. Even a fish wouldn't get caught if he didn't open his mouth...
Be careful out there.

What's a pull? Obviously I haven't been speed racing. You probably need a lawyer no matter what, but how fast were you going? I saw a Camaro on the TV news after its driver was killed speed racing.

Blue- 2002 Camaro Z28
Socal...I got ticketed on I-5, just crossing into Kern County through the infamous Grapevine racing an Evo...I got clocked at 115 and he was coming up on me hard doing 120. Got a ticket to appear in court facing exhibition of speed and excessive speeds over 100...luckily i didnt have a reckless count to fight. Nonetheless i was facing 4 points which is an automatic suspended license I believe and I drive for a living. So of course I got a lawyer ($3000), and got the exhibition of speed dropped but kept the excessive speeds over 100 along with 2 points, a 30-day suspension AND an $1800 dollar fine! Claiming they did me a favor...still got to keep my job

Thanks for the responses, I am getting a lawyer but man it's hard to choose one. Called 20 different offices and 7 would take my case. They quoted me anywhere from $1,000 to $3,0000
. Meeting with 2 tomorrow, so we'll see what happens, if I get the full 10 I'll lose my license.
I don't know how fast I was going, I only ever seem to be able to watch the tach when I'm racing. The officer did not record my speed though. I was polite to the officer and had all my paperwork when he came up to the window. Unfortunately I fucked up when he was questioning me, he asked why I was racing and I said "To be honest sir, it's a masculinity thing", I basically admitted it.

As you stated you f'd up with admitting guilt. Don't you watch The Closer, LOL. Anyway. everyone here has streetraced; so, don't listen to the comments from the self righteous tools on this board. Get a lawyer and hope for the best. Next time, don't admit guilt... for example, they were trying to get me to race and I just kept driving. They were racing each other. I wasn't involved. or... they came up on me shouting to pull over. I was afraid and tried to outrun them. At the most. Officer, I admit that I was speeding; but, I wasn't racing. Those cars were clowning, freakin mustangs are too slow to waste my time.
