Security Light Problem

My security light is acting up again, i have to wait anywhere from 1-15 mins for the car to start depending on how she feels. Is there anyway to fix it?? Dam anti theft security system

I think I remember reading somewhere that it's your VATS going bad.. the wires may be getting split or loose because of the readjustable steering wheel. If you don't splice and save them pretty quick, it's like $400 for a new system. Not including new keys.

Could also be your key losing it's resistance. Try using your spare to see if it does the same thing. If it does then look into the more detailed stuff like your wires and what was posted above.

Always try the easiest thing first.

my car is doing the same thing. the security light stays on it doesnt blink
i turned the car off and switched keys and the same thing. i was able to drive all they way to work 20 min and the car didnt turn off. is there any thing i can do before having to take it ot the dealership
