Thread: How would you describe LS1.COM?

The percentage of those people are so minimal from what I see. Links get posted from Tech, so what? Theres alot of info there, thats it. I dont see the problem there. When a link gets posted from Tech, is it not to help out another member with a question on repairing a problem with thier car? Thats what its all about, helping people fix problems. No Tech dick sucking here.

there is a shit load of ls1tech dick sucking going on... posting a link to another car forum is a stupid move... i'd rather see people be able to come here for help rather than to another forum... we have a tech section here and there is no reason for some one to link ls1tech's forum info...

Well - I guess we don't agree on this one Spaz.
The Turbo Buick and '89 Turbo Trans Am guys do it all the time for the sake of helping people solve problems and add performance, and I don't recall anyone ever having a problem with it.
I don't see the problem with helping people out by directing them to a helpful answer and/or more information.
I doubt even you take your first opinion from anyone on any site tech related before making decisions on purchases or whatever......it's all about making the best decisions from all the research you do, and the more research you do, the better.

Well, I respectively dis-agree. What if we link to a thread from the corvette forum? GTO forum? Hot rod magazine forum? Forget about Tech. Your saying posting any link to any other car forum is a stupid move. Spaz, we dont have EVERYTHING here.
And, if we posted a link to another forum (ANY car forum) to another member, then that means he/she came HERE/this forum/ for help.

I didn't say it was - I was just simply making a comparsion, which is very similar to LS1.com & LS1tech.
Well - in lieu of the bad blood between the two sites - it seems to me like you're taking this a little bit personal due to your alligiance here - no harm no foul. To me, none of this is personal.

I describe the site as a place that is only as good as you let it be. The site is almost entirely a reflection of the members here. If someone comes here and bitches about how good site x is vs this one then this site would be better off if they posted there instead. I have nothing against tech and most of that drama was over by the time I was here anyhow. I fit this site better than that one is what it boiled down too. Now I could spend my days over there posting "use the search" all day or I could hang here where most all questions get an answer of some sort regardless of how many times they've been asked. Ed runs a good site here.....he understands what it takes to make the whole site entertaining. IMO the AAG section is just as important as the tech sections on any site because it's the area where people have FUN.

What i dont understand is, if ls1tech is so much better and their tech info is gonna get linked anyways, why cant said people just go there and view it and come back here for whatever they want? It reminds me of foreigners who constantly tell ya how much better their country is, yet they live here. well gtfo then asshole.
My 2 cents

Nail... on the head. This site is a reflection of its members.
All the questions I have had over the past 5 months have been answered by the members here. Questions that have been posted over and over always seem to receive a courteous reply, and usually a link to a prior thread is included at some point. This site simply has great people who know their stuff.
