    your probably looking at the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). GVWR is the maximum allowable total weight of the car when loaded i.e including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo,etc.
    Your car is roughly 3350lbs without you in it. If you hadn't added any heavy components that is. The firebird is not a heavy car, weighs as much as a 350z

    If you want heavy -- try the Dodge Charger: V6 weights about 3800, R/T weights about 4100 and SRT weights about 4200.

    Our mostly stock '02 Trans Am weighs in at just under 3,400 lbs. on my lift with the fuel tank around 3/4 full.

    Last time I went to the track and weighed it with me in it it weighed around 3300lbs (i weigh about 115 lbs) but I have done some weight reduction on my car also, IE removed spare tire & jack (dropped weight about 40-50lbs), air conditioning system (removing air system dropped weight about 100lbs) now i got my new front suspension (BMR tubular K-member, & Upper and lower A-arms) it should drop about 40-50lbs but i have to get her back together and broken in then i can go to the track to see what she weighs now. You can go really crazy and cut holes in you car (on the inside panels) but i would not unless you only want a track car this is very dangerous to do if you drive on the street plus you have to install a roll cage for structural stability and that adds weight.

    my car weighs 3700 lbs and i took alot off my car and they r the number that came up i took my front apart the other week cut the inner side fender off with cutting wheel took the bumper foam out i have pics i just didnt put them up yet and im new on here 2000 T/A
