help with studdering
When cruising at about 1500 rpms. My car bucks hard. The tune is 3 years old and used to be perfect. It is as if something is removing all the fuel for milliseconds at a time. My foot is on the throttle. The car goes ...then all fuel is lost for milliseconds then goes... then all fuel lost.. then goes. At WOT there is no problem. The o2 sensors have been changed and read well. the fuel filter is new. spark plugs new. battery cable new. battery new, connections checked. grounds checked. I thought it was an electrical problem because it seems that if I turn on my blinker after during the studder. It blinks slowly, then speeds up when everything sorts itself out. No codes are being thrown except my tps light is on( however this is recent and the problem is old). The dashboard does not go haywire as if the battery connection is gone, and the radio never skips a beat. Any suggestions

My issue like this was caused by the TPS.. it eventually got worse and worse.
Check your grounds.

changed the tps and maf. the car is still doing the same thing. Disregard the blinker. I fixed it. It was a dreaded bulb problem

what map code are you getting? Have you checked lines for a vacuum leak?

got to check with tuner for exact code. I was under the impression that it was just one code for MAP. I took it to the shop to have everything looked over. Exactly which lines should i be checking. The tuner said that a vacuum leak wouldn't be so sporadic. I can potentially drive the car an hour without a problem then... jerk jerk jerk. I can power it through by stepping on the throttle to WOT.

After months, and hundreds of dollars at different shops, I found a vacuum leak. There was a vacuum hose that ran pass my battery to the ac/heater vac tank. The acid corroded the hose. Problem fixed. The beast is back.

runs from back of manifold down passenger firewall, snakes by battery bundled with a bunch of wires and connects to a tank sitting under the battery location.

Still no luck. I want to offer a $100 reward to whoever could tell me the problem so I can repair it and enjoy my car I can't wait to buy another car some days.

did you check the hoses that go to your AIR or used to go to your AIR?
