just bought 02 ss, help!

het guys i just picked up an 02 ss with 40k on motor, it has long tubes with slp exhausht, lid with k&n, th 400 trans with 3500 stall and 9 inch with 410s. now i have about 3,500 dollars left over. any ideas on what to buy to get the most hp with the money i have left. im planing on doing heads/cam/intake/and fuel system. i just want to see what you guys would do or what kind of heads/cam/etc, that you would do to your own. thanks for the help.

if you're looking for bang for the buck then look no further than nitrous. Looking at probably $1k-$1100 for a decent kit with the safeties. You would probably still have enough money left over for heads/cam if shopped smart and bought some used stuff here and there.

put in a tad extra get new heads/cam and throw in a a stroker cast crank !

Depending on what your plans are, Which you didnt state... N20 is going to be your best ET adder by far. Sticky tires on that 9" and you got a great ET. If it was me, with my goals.... I would spend 3500 on a great set of used heads ( AFR 205's can be found used for a few hundred off) and a good size cam. Lower/mid 230's. Then.... some sticky tires to make that 9" happy. N20 is cool, but to me is always an 'add on' to the heads and cam. But dollar for dollar, you can not beat the power increase from N20.
