2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
You never know who your friends are...
I'll start from the beginning...
I've been "friends" with this guy for the past few years. I've loaned him my Suburban to use with moving stuff...I don't mind cause I almost never drive it myself. So about a month ago, he asked to borrow it. He said he would bring it back the next day. Next day comes and goes. I give him a week before I call him. He tells me he didn't move what he wanted to move and that he still needed my truck. I said that was fine, but I wanted it back soon, because I was going to put it up for sale. Over the past 3 weeks, he hasn't returned phone calls or text messages. I've been talking about reporting the truck stolen for the past two weeks, but I have not done it out of fear of retaliation from him (he's 6'6" 300lbs and I'm a measly 175lbs 6').
So tonight I finally called the cops to report it stolen. Cop comes to my house to collect some information from me. I tell him the story, give him all of my info, my friends info (that I know) and the description of the truck. The cop then tells me to wait and he goes back to his car. About 10 minutes later, he comes back. He tells me that since I willing loaned him the truck, I can not report it as stolen, I have to go to the court house asap and file charges. I understand and I really don't mind making the trip to the county capital. What the cop tells me next almost knocked me off my feet. He told me that my friend has 5 warrants out for his arrest (theft, burglary, etc.). I was floored....I thought I knew this guy pretty well. This made me want to go file charges right now, cause honestly, he could be using my truck to commit crimes.
I'm skipping school tomorrow to go file the charges.

Sorry to hear it man
It's amazing the bs stories that people come up with when they owe you money or are behind in rent.
I hate having to hound somebody to get them to meet their obligations.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
When I used to go to GTO meets I used to have folks approach me about a "friend" who was badmouthing me behind my back. They told me to stay away from this "friend" and I did. Months later I am getting threats from this "friend" that he will find me and give my plate to the local police, not realizing the police in my town consists of a few relatives of mine.

Some of my friends I'd be suprised if they didn't have warrants. All those unpaid parking tickets I got, I often wonder if I am up for grabs.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
Do you know where he lives?
Do you have the title to the truck?
If you answer yes to both-go to the dealer, have another key made and get your shit back.
