02 Z just died and no start HELP!
Hi guys, I have an 02 Z I was drivng tonight and all of a sudden it just quit like you turned off the key. When you go to restart it just wheels over and no fire. I checked for fuel pressure which it does have and checked all the fuses for everything and there all good. No security codes/issue either. It has no spark. It has aways ran great without an issue till now.
Any ideas where to start? PCM, relay, sensor? HELP!

check your ignition relays first then I would start looking at the cam or crank position sensor.

Ok, just for the heck of it I disconnected the battery last night and this morning it started right up. I backed it out of the garage and let it idle for 5 mins or so then it quit and wont start again. Does this help to narrow it down to the possible problem?

Any ideas guys please? Does this sound more like a PCM issue. Disconnect the battery for a few hours and rehook it up and it starts fine. Runs for 5 mintues and quits like u turn the key off and it will not restart!
Would a cam senor or crank sensor do that?

Ok, is the crank sensor replacement gonna be as simple as dropping the starter and putting a new one in from Autozone or Advance? Or will that relearn procedure have to be done after doing this?

Is there any easy way to check for sure which one it is? I know the crank sensor has to be alot easier to change.

both the same price.i would change the crank sensor first. Not really a way to tell which ones bad unless its throwing a code.
