How would the throttle be stuck on a brand new drive-by-wire throttle body? There's no build up of carbon/soot and no cable....the dude is lying his ass off to save his job. If the car hasn't been bought yet there's not even any floor mats in the damn thing to blame the peddle getting stuck under.

No throttle stickage. No way, no how. The dude is just looking for an excuse to not look like a total dipshit.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
You drive a 1st gen Camaro (like I did for decades) with a solid throttle linkage and a propensity to break left side engine mounts which (when making a left turn) will cause the engine to tip over to the right thereby yanking the throttle into a WOT condition trapping it (the throttle linkage) against the valve cover and you learn real quick what to do to make it stop: Throw it into neutral (works most times) or turn it off (works every time)!

i got ya man and i agree with everybody said in that its the right thing to do. but working at a car dealer, i learned then anything and everything can happen, accidents do happen, people make mistakes, lies do get told etc. its a car lot that the car crash happened so lets assume he might have been in a tight situation? i just give people the benefit of the doubt.

If my throttle stuck wide open I would be break to the floor sliding the front brakes...that grass isn't tore up enough for those tires to have been locked up, how much you want to bet there are no skid marks either. Also, notice it was a challenger that it happened on, not some old person buik. Dumbass was being stupid with a muscle car and fucked up, now he is lying about it. Fire his ass, a lot more deserving people out there that could use a job.

Drive-by-wire f'ing up maybe. Gotta love when you have no actual control!
He could also be lying like the others say.

I didnt read all the responses here so forgive me if I duplicate someone's post.
1. Fly by wire dont stick.
2. Punk freaked out (as I have seen a million times in over 50 years) and kept his foot planted.
