Actually check the laws because in most states you can have a white or amber front blinkers and parking lights. If you look at some cars I know a few Lexus i've seen have clear bulbs for parking and blikers up from from the factory.

I have the white leds, they look kinda blue. But I need new sockets since mine are corroded and basically killed the leds. Having issues with them when my headlights are on.. anyways. Do those switchback leds, they say white amber .. is the white like.. white or is it like I have no with a blueish tint to it.
Example: look at my daytime running lights.

So for rear brake lights they will fit and work? cause all the local auto parts stores have 3157. I dont want to buy a set of leds and they dont work. Do you have them on your car now

I have 3157 bulbs for my daytime running lights, they fit and work fine so I would think the tail lights should be alright to.

I have 3157 bulbs all around.
Here's a wiki on the difference.
Both have two filaments, one for the parking light, and one for the brake light or turn signal. The parking light filament of the 3157 is a little brighter than the parking light filament of the 3057. The signal filaments of both bulbs are the same brightness.

I don't know about the led's you guys have but I had to use a resistor to get it to flash properly. Also from what most sites I have check you have to buy special led buld since the front are drls, otherwise they supposedly burn out faster. I solved my problems by getting rid of the drls. Some people like the way they look I just don't get it. Two ugly orange lights on all the time. I got some smoke covers for them and blacked out the third brake light. and plan to black out the rest so it has a nice even look all around. I got fog covers thst I use around town and take them off when i need the hid's on trips.

If you replace your flasher with an HD you shouldn't need a resistor. Those manually flash and aren't driven by the current like the stock flasher. 10 sec swap for the flasher unit.

six 3157s in the rear? i thought there were only 4 then 2 like 194's (bulb number off the top of my head) did you convert? can you tell a difference in the rears after converting to led?
i plan on converting the drls. . prob gonna use the switchbacks. i just installed new harnesses not too long ago, and have new housings waiting.

Once I got rid of those that useless drl module I love my Leds. match my HID's great. I also got 194 leds for my clear side markers. white front and red rear so it'd match.

ah ha your right. . forgot about the reverse. but like suede said i do know there is one more smaller bulb in the tailight. did you leave it stock? i know when you get the sequential kit, it changes it to a 3157 (which of course requires some cutting).
the reverse would be nice to have brighter. . .Last edited by GULLETT17; 04-28-2009 at 04:57 PM.

Red- 1998 WS6 Trans Am
i just installed the switchbacks on my drls and was wondering what I needed to make it blink a little faster. What kind of flasher is best? I only have leds on my drl/turn sigs and rest are regular bulbs.
i searched autozone for a flasher but they only have one flasher according to my search results.
btw, the switchbacks are sweet and they are plenty bright enough. I bought the ones that were $20 each mainly to see how well I liked them.
