I did that one time. I was actually road raging on someone on my way home from work at the mall, got clocked doin a back to the future (88 miles per hour) in a 45. Cop rolls behind me at a light, lights flashing, im like, fuck!! Gas station up ahead (being in sales I can think fairly quick on my feet) so I wait out the light, it goes green I nail the gas (this was in my 92 cavalier vl ((very lathargic)) coupe, and fly into the gas station. He's on my ass about to pitt me as I pull into the station. I throw my wallet at him, say liscense is in there< i gotta get to the toilet or it'll be bad mall chinese for you. Run inside, hit the bathroom, wait 10 minutes. I come back outside, he's writing the ticket, but laughing the whole time. I say "Im wicked sorry, i caught some bad mall chinese while at work (hit him with my business car dto prove work at the mall) and I had to get to a bathroom fast. He laughs some more, and tells me, heres what you do. Send it in not guilty (he told me he had to call it in cause I ran after he had me at the light) and go into court, tell them you had extenuating (damn this is hard to type drunk) circumstances, and human nature needs, and they shoudl nolly it. Did just that, ticket got dropped. Stopped road raging after that. Sorry for the long read.

You should have opened the bathroom door pants down. Why the hell did that ass come into your house for a speeding ticket, I'd make sure someone knew about that... Pretty sure they can't just walk into your house for a speeding ticket, especially since he didn't try and stop you at first. Unless he did and you just didn't see him

Yea, don't ever become a cop if you think you can shoot someone because they don't come out of THEIR bathroom after you entered THEIR house without reason, other than to tell the guy he was speeding.

THIS COULD BE THE FUNNIEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN!!!Yesterday I was racing home in my girlfriends car. I live in a country club community that has a speed limit of 25. Well 25 doesn't work for me well when I'm touching cloth(never again thai food for lunch). So I whip the car in the driveway slide into the garage click the closer and run inside to drop the cosby's off at the pool. The first good blast into it my doorbell starts ringing like a crazy. There was no way to pinch this shit off so fuck it whoever it is will have to wait. Well it appears that Raleigh Police officers either don't like to wait or loves the smell of the type of shit that you could crap through a screen door and not touch a thing. Being that I never lock my front door he let himself in(not sure if that is legal or not) He did yell out !POLICE! and some other shit but the sound was drowned out by yet another rectal blast. Finally he made his way upstairs where I was due to the fact that the magazines are kept in that bathroom. He announces !Your going to need to come out here! I replied with It's gonna take a few more minutes...otherwise your going to need new shoes. I can hear him at the other side of the door slightly gagging. So I get done and prepare to face the music. He proceeds to tell me that I was doing 58 in a 25. I just smirk and ask him Do you want to know why I was speeding? He actually didn't write me a ticket I'm guessing due to the fact that this story would not go over well in court. Honestly I never saw the cop behind me.

funny story and i would love to just laugh at it considering he didnt get the ticket. But I cant help but actually be more annoyed then the OP over what others in here are annoyed about. What gave him the right to just walk in your fuckin house? It'd be one thing if he was in a police vehicle with the cherries going right behind you and you did what you did. But for you to do what everybody here has done at least once, and not know he even saw you shit that just annoys me.

Nine replies and no one is worried, concerned, or perturbed that a police officer saw it as his prerogative to illegally enter a residence to issue a speeding ticket?

Officer had legal right to enter the residence, in a court of law using these magic words:

Person of Interest was seen fleeing into said residence.

After several calls to POI announcing, “ Police Officer please come to door”.

I pursued said POI into residence to make an arrest
