i know you guys havnt heard form me in a while, but you know i had to come back for this..
getcha nobody said you didnt run that... we all said that base models can/will/have beat your times... its a known fact.. go back and read all the threads where we (main me and c5) owned your ass countless times over and over again, and you MIGHT understand this time... but i doubt it, you never did before..
i have a question though, you told me this spring that you were going to come demolish me..... well im running low 10s right now, where are you? still in the 13s i presume... maybe 12?
anyways, i vote we "kick you off the site"...

Bud, I dont know all I know is im wanting answers on why my car ran what it did, with nothing done and 110,000mi....I have a buddy with the 1998 Z28 with everything done bolton wise and never runs better than 13.30, I've had numerous people say the original owner I got it from had to have head work or its tuned already or something, because no LS1 cars around here ran in the 12.90's or even near 13.10 with what I had done....I've also seen cars just like mine run a best of 13.60, and Z28's and trans am's run 13.90 with LS1's.....im not a WS6 fanatic, I actually was looking for a SS camaro, Im a chevy guy or I was going to buy a cheaper Z/28 that I could put a lot of mods and work into....but I got my car based on the VIN,engine codes,head number, and took a chance, and I always loved the WS6 look but never admitted it, but my buddys day is master mechanic at GM dealership been their 30 years and told me what to get because he said for unknown reasons they had a lot more power and better engineering than others so I did, and I ran 13.08 with an air lid and a muffler everything else stock........Im not dogging anyone or picking a fight, everytime I explain my whole cars life, I get people emailing me sayin im lyin or saying negative stuff...just dont say anything at al please.....thank you goodnight...oh and I get 28mpg, and I guarantee u my buddys dad and the guys in my area know more about LS1's than most everyone...anyone from STL area reading this?...do you know pat from Performance Parts Plus?..or TurboConnections in edwardsville?...look up TC online you will see...im not a liar and I do know very knowledgeable people that have done thousands of LS1 tunes and have raced for decades, and all own LS1 cars now that run from 8's to 12's, the WS6 in 01 and 02 I know some flowed 60% more air into the intake over the same exact model, and it seems like luck but its not, GM made certain cars faster...I have no explanation I will show u my 11.99 with stock rearend,driveshaft,stock 3:42's and boltons then you will believe....I got help trust me

i am going to take this as a MAJOR compliment!
heres your answer....
you got a good running car... some people get horrible running cars... you just got lucky, THATS IT! there is no "special work" done to your car that was not done to another..
the ONLY thing different is... your car JUST LIKE ALL OTHER 01-02 base model and ram air models got an ls6 intake, **SOME** got an ls6 block (this does not make ANY difference in how well the car performs) i dont know if ours got it because i dont know your numbers..
there have been TONS of BONE stock base models and ram air models run faster times than you... there have been even more base model and ram air models with equal or less mods run the same times and MUCH faster than you... you want proof? look at the other 3 threads that i stated this in WITH proof MULTIPLE TIMES that you TOTALLY DISREGARDED!!!! i have answered this for you nicely, bluntly, swearing, talking to you like a kid, in pms, in threads, EVERY WAY I KNOW POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL NOT LISTEN!!!!
there were NO equal model ls1s that flowed 60% more air through the intake with a matching build.. even an 01-02 with an ls6 intake is not going to outflow a 98 intake car by 60%.. if you have proof, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE prove me wrong, LIKE SAID "your buddies dad" or "my GM mechanic buddy" ARE NOT VALID SOURCES!!!!!!!!
i know you *think they know what they are talking about but 95% of the stuff i have seen you spout off going by what they say is wrong, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH,dont listen to me, then go back and tell them how much of an idiot they are...
i was running the same times when i had a lid/loudmouth setup on my 98 base model TA as you are with more mods and a newer car EXPLAIN THAT! also the day that i did that i was outrunning car with baby cams (220/222ish cams) and they called BS on my mods... were their cars shit? no they were setup HORRIBLE and the drivers couldnt drive.. i have seen the almighty firehawks (insert sarcasm) run mid 14s...
GM did NOT make any "certain cars" faster than ANY OTHER car... seriously man, wake up... why the hell would they do that???
you ask for our help and to answer your questions.. you have people calling you a ricer and making fun of you because of what you have been told by your all so knowledgable buddies... guess what THIS IS OUR LIVES!!!!!! i am dealing with my car/ls1s every waking minute... i PROMISE you there are PLENTY of people on here that would down right embarrass your car buddies and ill put myself in there when it comes to knowledge on cars...
this is the LAST time i am "helping" you... if you dont get it this time your a useless tool and ricer... just go hang out with your dumb ass GM mechanic of 30 years and tell all the little hondas how "supped up" your ls1 is over all the other ones built EXACTLY like it.. hell i have ricer buddies that would laugh at you..
im dont with this one unless he wakes up and REALLY wants to learn this time..... too many uneducated people?ONLY 1 IN THIS THREAD! AND ITS THE OP!

DAMN lemons, lol.
Our cars stock can run low 13's - high 12's stock. Theirs so many variables especially with manual trans cars that the times are going to vary A LOT. The driver, track prep, weather, elevation etc is going make a lot of difference.

z28 and SS same car firebird/TA both come in WS6 package
the 345hp package would be the fastest in theory

hey did you guys know that GM made some firebirds that could actually fly and some that were just regular cars.....i know how it sounds, but it was a secret and GM only made certain cars do it....to find out if you have retractable wings and a turbofan press power on the radio, hit preset 1,3,2,4....hit the cd button, turn the radio off and pump the brake twice.....
