Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
Fairly easy .. it's not letting the four feet of timing chain move that's the concern.. and monkeying with the phase limiters etc...But it's alot easier then stuffing that cam into my SS was.. Of course.. it's 780 for the pair of FFRP's I want...

PS Sorry for the hijack.. we now return you to your previously scheduled post.

You need to bring that all up to her, ..., So she knows how much you've had to sacrifice for her side of the family.
How old are the kids?
(That will help everyone determine if DisneyWolrd is appropriate. If they are too young, ..., I'd hold off for a while. Been there, done that, ...)

Spent $15K on our last Disney trip. Going again in June. Plan on spending the same this time. All about your priorities.
But if it were me, Fuck her family, they need to take care of themselves.

I completely understand how she can word it like " its a nice thing to do for the kids" yadda yadda. But its infact money that YOU allocated for sometihng specific. Its not like you havent done anything either. I think a certain debt of gratitude on her part to you is totaly reasonable. No married guy I know would give a wifes family overseas money like that, or take in their children too. The least she can do is not give you shit about buying a used car that you already sacrificed once before. The whole "latin firecracker" thing, i think its an excuse they use to just do whatever the fuck they want because the guy doesnt wanna hear bitching. my 2cents.
Do what makes you happy, you earned it.

It seems she is really pissed about the $400 plane ticket above the cost of the vehicle....
I am laughing because wait till I go and register it next week...another $200
What she doesn't know is I do have enough $$$ for both...I just haven't told her everything yet cause I wanted it to be a surprise..now she's done pissed me off about the whole thing so I just let her stew for a week....
I go get it tomorrow anyways....may make a weekend trip out of it...

My family would go on trips as a kid, it doesn't have to be disney world to be fun and rememberable, just remember that!
We went to see national monuments like mount rushmore, estes park and shit, and it was good times. We'd go rafting, tubing, go camping.
My family wasn't well off is what i am saying and you can have just as much fun spending time with the family without spending so much money...

(most) girls are crazy and always jump the gun on things. i've tried to surprise my wife and if she thinks she's not going to get whatever it is i'm going to get her, she gets all bitchy. then i feel like if i get her said item i'm doing it out of guilt. you can't win...ever.
i say, make it a weekend trip. stay in a hotel an extra night. take the scenic route. visit a different state you haven't been to before, lol

Probably more fun even.
But if they really want to go to a park though, take a trip to Cedar Point when the kids are a little older (old enough to ride the most awesome roller coasters you'll see in this country, plus a water park inside as well). You can get a two-day "Ride & Slide Pass" for like 75 dollars a head....that's TWO DAYS worth of awesome, plus they have resort hotels all around. I would bet you'd save a ton of money over Disney World, even if you have to drive a ways to get there (10 hours from my house in OK...so worth it) Just a suggestion, there are cheaper AND better places out there than Disney World...
Here's Cedar Point's website in case you haven't seen it.

Did I mention the water park has a swim up bar?
