Red+White Top and Stripes- 2000TransAmConvertible A4
Yeah the fbody can carry lots of stuff. Mine is a vert so the sky is the limit for me.
As long as I can stack it, I can fit anything in it I want. Heck I've even hauled 8 foot 2 by 4's in mine.

right but my point is that who cares about trunk space in a sports car? no one asks the capacity on a vette...

Shows how much you really don't know about cars or motors. It's not an ls2, it's the L76 and Yes I will say it is a better motor for modding such as boost. Alot of people care about getting grocerys and taking the entire family with them. You have have all the room in the world and carry 4 adults comfortably while still being able to have your fun. If you going to have one car then it's a no brainer taking the G8 over the T/A. But for a weekend toy, then yes I would take the T/A over the G8.

well whatever it is, its a 6.0L either way... they ran a 6.0L in the vette and it sucked, thats why they changed it. and GTO's 6.0L had "more hp" but didnt even out perform the LS1. regardless of the name, i personally dont care for a 6.0L unless its in a truck.
and i guess thats where we can agree to disagree. i dont care about loading a ton of people and cargo into my sports car. hell if i could i would have a ferrari and no one would ride with me. i already said that the G8 is an awesome car, but its an awesome DD, no replacement for my TA.Last edited by mpfranks; 03-09-2009 at 08:59 AM.

Dude, WTH are you talking about. The LS2 in the GTO makes more power than the LS1. The GTO wieghs more. Thats why stock for stock they are stil a close race, usually a drivers race. The LS2 is still a great engine. Post some actual facts that make it a bad engine and you may have people agreeing with you.
Not just, "they took it out of the Vette cause it sucked".
They took it out of the vette and replaced it with the LS3 because the Corvette ALWAYS gets the latest and greatest. The Corvette is the gravy and taters of GM. GM did not take it out because it sucked, they took it out because they the Corvette always has the better engine over all the other models. First year vettes got the LS1. Then Camaro and Firebird got the LS1. Then they put the LS6. Because another line of thier sports cars had the LS1. By your logic, the LS1 sucks becuase they took it out of the vette. Right?

if you still have your rear seats you can carry four adults, i have, not the most comfortable but at least it aint a two seater coupe. I fit a 42' tv in mine so room is not a problem. Anything the g8 can do ours can, its a matter of comfort and preference, one is not better than the other, for as many pros their are cons. if you want a sleeper put firebird badging on and change the spoiler, lol. What are the main differenced between ls1 & 6?

i said i didnt care for it, not that it was a bad engine. all the lsx motors are good motors, but my personal opinion is that the ls2 is the worst of all of them. and no only the c5 z06 got the ls6, all other vettes got the ls1 with an ls6 intake. not the entire ls6. and the 5.7L 350 has been around for ever, some different workings, but the 350 is the most common american v8. thats why its a great motor. the bigger displacement doesnt always mean better motor. the ls6 was still a 350, and its a better motor than the ls2, that just my opinion.
keep in mind this is just how i feel, if you disagree thats fine. i personally dont care for the ls2.
