Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Basically, a shitload of people WEREN'T buying it.
Sales were horrible, and GM realized they were better of building more trucks instead.
According to some figures I found on lastofthebreed.com, GM sold a total of 30,690 Firebirds, in '02. For the same year they sold 47,206 Camaros. Actually, in looking at the sales trends of the 3rd and 4th gens, it might have made better sense just to kill off the 'Bird and keep the Camaro. Probably most of the Bird buyers would have ended up in a Camaro, making for respectable sales totals for it. Of course then they'd still have to use the same assembly plant for it, and not be able to make more trucks there, so I guess that's where the reasoning was.Last edited by StuntmanMike; 03-08-2009 at 09:18 AM.

Black- BLK TA modded 12.2@113mph
We will see with the Camaro sales. The price says it all In Canada they were selling for $42000 in 2002 so to much money at the time. Especially that you can buy a Dodge ram hemi for $30k It has nothing on the bird but priced right.
If they could build one for $30k with the 4th gen body style and upgraded a little they would sell like crazy and I would be there in line to buy one.

I also really enjoy working on my car. It's so much fun. All my previous cars were driven to the ground and not maintaned at all. It took everything I had to even get a simple oil change.

If you take care of them they are great cars.
I have owned 3 T/A's(and two LT1 Z28's) over the years. I would still gladly sell my GTO and keep my WS6 if I had to choose between the two. It just looks mean and the sound goes with the looks.

Some cars look like they could kick your ass.
The '98 and up WS6 looks like it actually will come over, kick your ass, then steal your girlfriend. Especially in black.
I hope nothing happens to my car, I'd like to keep it as long as possible. I have no plans to sell it, ever.

Same here. I have full blown coverage so if anything does happen hopefully Ill get her fully restored back to normal.
Was leaving the track saturday and i saw the omnious glow of those running lights way behind me so I dropped down to around idle(speed limit is 25) till he caught up with me and gave a thumbs up through the t-tops which I saw returned in my mirrow and sped back up.
