incorrect. We've all had dealings with retail. Every purchase we make involves a retail transaction. It takes far less to procure a job in retail then it does being in the public service.
I'm not saying cops are rocket scientists, but they def have a certain measure of training and experience.

furthermore a police officer is an authority figure in society. Clerks don't generally fall under that catagory. So your clever story really is pointless to this subject.

    smilies yayy
smilies so easy to click when you can't defend your position or answer simple black and white questions
Incorrect, I stated retail management and retail is public service. I am not saying retail managers are rocket scientists either, but you do have to have a certain measure of training and experience. A degree is helpful now days as well.

how in ordering inventory and working a point of sales system? I know 20 year old retail managers, let's not get carried away.

Yep, you can totally relate a clerk to a police officer lol

The biggest aspect of retail is customer service, not ordering inventory or working a point of sales system. I know lots of police officers, but if I recall earlier, you stated knowing a LEO was not the same as having hands on experience. Do you have any personal experience with retail management, or are you just drawing your opinions from second hand information?

I'd say that theres a difference between being the customer and the person that has to deal with the customer. thats what his point was man. Yes I'd agree it probably sucks to work retail. Anybody that deals with customers has to deal with huge doses of bullshit at some point if not often. That being said theres also a huge difference between a "clerk" and a manager. just my 2 cents

A little bit of respect and restraint goes a long way. Obviously she didn't exhibit either of those traits when talking to the officers. There may have been a bit of excessive force involved but it seems to me that some force was necessary.

IMO she should kept her blow hole shut instead of spouting off.

I have stated multiple times now, retail management, not clerks. There is a huge difference between a manager and a clerk in dealing with the public.

I ran a game stop and a radio shack when I was 20-21. So yes, I can speak from experience.

ok, and how does any of that relate to having to enter a dark house and not shitting yourself when there is a perp inside waiting?
Please, let's not try and make a connection with someone who wants to stab you and a customer pissed off because their coupon is expired.

    Good enough?

No one is arguing that force was used. However the little brat got hers. And people sitting there sharp shooting this cop should take a sec and think about the crap they are spewing since they have no clue what it's like being in the public protection service
Thats good enough and your right i have no idea what the job is about. But regardless, i still would not agree with "her" parents beating her in such a way. and were not talking about a slap in the face, she was thrown to the ground by her hair and punched in the face twice. Close the door to the holding cell, walk away, and be the bigger man. don't take to heart what a 15 year old girl says to you, it don't matter. to me this is not a "cop" issue the fact that it was an officer is just rather disturbing. domestic violence ripped my family apart, and any man that hits a women regardless of whether shes a smart mouth brat or a 35 year old mother of three should burn. if it bothers you, show restrain, I'm sure with all your years of experience you have used restrain because it was morally right, or it kept food on your table for your family. regardless of the reason.

i didnt interpret what he said as being a direct comparison. All he said was that it sucks to work retail. perhaps he meant more, i dunno. All kinds of jobs have their low points man.

Speaking for myself, I'm a bit disenchanted with wrenching on cars for a multitude of reasons, a big part of it is that customer transaction.

LOL Like what? Making a schdule? Having to deal with a district manager or a regional manager? Running training videos? Making the nightly deposite? LOL

Most inventory control is automatic. Most point of sales systems are automatic. Please, is everyone on crazy pills?

I found this on some forum...

...after googling "sometimes you just gotta smack a hoe"

Sometimes you gotta smack a hoe
When that bitch gets in your flow
    She's riding your jock
    Spittin some crock
S'time you let the bitch know

Give her a smack with the back of your hand
Two for the measure, that's good!
    Now three to the jaw!
    Punish that maw!
Four cause you know that you should!

Most bitches learn by gettin smacked
    It's a truly unfortunate thing
    But when it's time
    You'll know it's fine
To teach her a new tune to sing

Bitch, you got alot to say
So how bout a new conversation?
    Talk to my fist
    You gettin the gist?
    Be grateful it aint strangulation

Your contribution goes as far as to "defend this little girl." I dunno if you're aware but 15 year olds have a pretty good grasp of right and wrong

Hmmm I changed my mind. Maybe it's not the cops your so much sharp shooting, as the little brat you're identifying with?

maybe I should add a smiley to drive home my point.

Should he have been the bigger man? Sure.
Did she get what she deserves? Oh yeah.
This guy is being demonized, but no one has walked a mile in his shoes and that's my point. Everyone wants to jump right to sentencing this guy.

You really need to go back and read my posts! That is NOT what I said. I did not defend her or her actions.

    Chill, Man...

And, you don't know if this guy doesn't have some major issues yourself?
