Cam choice, Camaro LS2
Hey guys, Im finally at that stage where i can order the cam for my new motor. It is an LS2 with a .020 overbore, which totals about 370 ci. I have lightly ported/polished 243 heads with stock valves. I would like a cam and spring package from Texas speed, and am debating whether to go with the 228/228 or the Torquer2, which is 232/234 and slightly more lift. The car is an automatic, so I need something that will handle well on the street. I don't want to lose low end torque, but i really want to take advantage of those extra cubes in the LS2 block. Any recommendations? Also, can I use stock length pushrods with .040 head gaskets (vs. stock .050) to bump up the compression to 11.1:1 or so.

Usually you match the cam w/ the stall, what kind of stall do you have?
Probably the bigger of the two people usually wish they went bigger.

You've got a bigger cubed motor, go to a larger cam than the LS1 spec's. A 24x/24x cam should be fine on that motor for what your looking out of it.
2000 Z28: Accufab 4150, Vic Jr. 150 shot, Patriot stg 2 heads, big cam, FLT Stg VI 4L60, S60 rear. Waaay more stuff to list. 3100 LBS.

lol, see thats just my problem, everyone has a different opinion. I want to make sure I go big enough whereI won't wish i had gone bigger, but I dont want to go to the point where I am only making top end HP

3500 should be fine for a street car.

Out of the off the shelf ones you listed I'd go with the Torquer 2. With a 370 I wouldn't hesitate to go with something bigger though.

Ok, yeah right around a 230 duration seems right. I really want power under the curve, I'm not planning on taking it to the track all that often so low end torque is a little more important than high end horsepower
