    That totally sucks because imo they were the best cam design company, both their off the shelf stuff and custom grinds. Hell thats who made the cam thats in my 5.slow. Not to mention its an american institution. People that arent car people have heard of crane. wtf. I didnt read the whole article but is this because of the economy or a business problem internal within crane? It was kind of confusing.

    One thing I did notice though is there are american branded companies that do have forgings/castings that are in chinese foundries. Eagle comes to mind, Scat i think. Lots of it IS in fact shit, but some of those chinese cast cranks really arent that bad. Obviously buy all americans engine parts, but even the american companies themselves do outsource the machining. The all american forged cranks are much more money then a cast crank from overseas which is why a lot of people go with them. They just cant afford the high end stuff.
