hmm i always use my spoiler for closing and opening..mostly..becuase i can grab onto the third brake light and not get finger prints etc all over the wing....but im a bitch like that

I do the same thing!!! Hate fingerprints on my car. I even grab the window to shut the doors. Yes, still prints, but less noticeable.

I might have used my elbow on the window a couple of times

or my knee when when available.

It's reed on the camaros since the spoiler is integrated into the rear quarter panels unlike the TA which is raised above

The spoiler isn't actually functional so I wouldn't worry much about downforce.

Grab it by the hood latch with your index finger, and just pull it down and let go in the middle of the motion and let gravity and momentum take it the rest fo the way
