The line with the schrader valve on it! That is the line that is not getting fuel from the tank.

Our cars don't have a fuel return line.
I've been lurking around this post, it sounds like a fuel pump for sure. You have no pressure, correct? Have you verified that with a gauge yet? Pumps can turn on but have no output. It is not likely, but it is possible to come disconnected inside the fuel tank at the pump output. I've seen it once in my mechanic career...just like you said, you can hear the pump run but no fuel to the fuel rail. However it is usually a faulty pump. Good luck.

The other line DOES get gas though, the one with the fuel filter on it gets gas and the pump pushes it. Just the other line dosent get shit?

You say you have done nothing before this problem started? Nothing at all? Fine one day then the next this? Still need to get a pressure checker. I don't know the exact pressure our cars run, but it needs to be all the way there with the key on engine off, checking at the schrader valve on the engine.

Nothing, drove to Publix, parked it, and the next morning it would not start. Believe me when I tell you, there is NO pressure or gas running through the line with the schrader valve on it! Nothing is going through that line. I disconected it on both ends and ran 60 PSI of air thru it. The line is not clogged and the schrader valve works just fine. There is nothing coming out of the tank and into that line. Why is that?

Would you happen to have any sugestions on that other 5%?

it could possibly be the hose popped off of the venturi feed. What happens is a hose pumps fuel from the tank into the fuel pump bucket and the pump draws fuel from that. That hose has been known to come off before. That being said, I'd lean towards the pump. I thought you had pressure at the filter?

I DO have pressure and fuel at the filter! The other line, the one that runs from the top of the tank to the schrader valve an so on does not have pressure or fuel. That is where my problem lies! I do not understand why.

I think you're looking at the wrong line then or you're confused about the shrader valve or something. Your supply line goes through the filter and up to the rails where the shrader is.

The two lines that are under the hood that have the heat tape around them. One line runs into the acutal rail and flows fuel. The other line, the one with the schrader valve, runs into some plastic piece and then into the intake. I followed both lines, that stay seperate and turn into metal lines. The one with the schrader valve runs straight back and then up towards the top of the tank. It disconnects from the metal line and back to rubber before it disapears above the tank The other line runs from the rail, turns into a metal line, goes to the filter, and back out to the top of the tank also. Two seperate lines!

ok, now we're getting somewhere. That's not your shrader valve...that's the evap service port. Your shrader valve is on the end of the drivers side fuel rail.

Sorry guys, I always called that a return line also. I've never messed with it and don't know it's proper name.

OK I went and looked at mine. (Been working on too many 4 bangers lately). You are on the evap side, I never took that cap off...green on my car.
At the very front of your fuel rail driver's side. (Actual car front, closest to you when looking in.) Mine doesn't have a cap (like it should) remove the cap, I suppose you have. You will see a much more robust schrader valve.
I'd pressurize the system again and see how much spray you get out. When I changed my intake I think I got about 8 inches of spray when I relieved it.

Orion, Too Fast,
Could he have relieved the other schrader and messed up the head pressure or vac or something on the line???? And perhaps made a problem out of some anomaly???

well, I think he had the starting issue before messing with anything and to my knowledge the car should still start and run. I'm going to go back to my original statement.......get a gauge and see what your actual pressure is at the rail.

Wow, just learned a real lot real fast. What does that line with the evap port do?

Also, I dont have a schrader valve. I have a hose that connects there that runs to a fuel regulator.

The definitive knowing is always good!
But if I am past store hours, I'd think a spray means a good deal.
I know I got crap gas one time in NC and mine labored to start. (Luckily I only put 1/2 tank in...the most I'll put from an unknown gas station.) I topped with 93 and put in dehydrator, it did fine.
I did see another post here lately where somebody ran their car really low and the car was giving him fits to crank. (Not that this wouldn't cause much concern for the fuel pump, over spin and overheat.)

From my slim understanding...
You don't want vapor feeding into a liquid fuel system, I think it bleeds off the vaporized gas...and due to the EPA standards takes it back to the EVAP Can your tank puts it's vapor into when it vents at high pressure! They have codes for the Can and all, it is monitored.
