This -20 weather is really pissing me off

When I was in motor maintenance in the army they showed us training films about Alaska. They just left the trucks running all the time up there during winter.

Ive heard my dad mention that about germany. Easier to keep feeding them fuel instead of not being able to start them

It was 4 degrees the other night and I started the TA up and she was a bit slow and had like 80 psi oil pressure

So we were having a warm streak yesterday when it got up to -4 and today I get this at noon!

Just think. This is the closest we've had to a normal winter in a while. I've been up here my whole life, and my familys been up here since 1954. Yes that's before Alaska was a state. Remember a few years ago when it was in the 40's and breakup for christmas. Then it got back down to 30 below in march. We still didn't have much snow. I still agree. Too cold too long. But the coldest I've been out in was -50 on the thermometer, then there was a wind chill, I'm not sure what it was, then I was going 60mph on my snowmobile for 191 miles to get back to the hotel. There was no choice. That was the only way back.

I was in a TENT in Alaska in March, when I was 15. They guides took us out and said "we'll do a flyover once a day to make sure your camp is still here"

It was 34* and felt like 40+ when I left for work this morning. Yes, there was ice on the roads. I left the T/C on and all was well. Got out of my car to go into my job and almost busted my ass in the parking lot. Now, it is raining. Weird ass weather here in NJ.
