Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Ok, I picked up a 1.75 extension today.
What works better on these cars, a standard plug socket, or a deep one? They had 2 plug sockets where I got the extension, one was .5" longer than the other.

If anybody is lucky enough to have an empty AC system, get your plugs done at the same time. If you remove the EGR tube and the AC condenser tube in the way along with the coilpacks it's smooth sailing on the passenger side.

White- 1988 Firebird Formula
I did mine for the first time today on a 98 formula. The one i struggles with the most was the #1. The #8 was a cake walk for me. I used a spark plus socket for a CRF450 dirt bike. Its about 6" long or so and you can put a 14mm open end wrench on the end of it. Had it out and new one back in in less the 5 minutes. You can pick those up at your local Honda motorcycle dealership. I also used a 3/8 snap on ratchet that has a flex head and a bent handle similar this one.

you can buy a craftsman version of this one for around $30.00. Did my first set of plugs and wires in under one hour.

EGR and Air Delete plus it being a 98 with coil packs only(no brackets) should make a plug change very easy.

On the number eight plug... get some-buddy with small arms and hands to do reach up there from the bottom and change it out. I was amazed when my brother in law slipped right in there and made it look easy when I tried for an hour it seemed.
My big hands and arms made it impossible.

Do you guys add anything on the spark plugs to lubricate them in case you will have to change it again.
