Well, it doesn't look to me like they are connected to anything, and that someone did it as a joke. But if they are connected like that, I've read that PVC gives off fumes that can cause men to become sterile when overheated.
And the intake charge coming off a turbo is hot as fuck... not as hot as the exhaust, but close enough for PVC to be a fucking terrible idea.
