I think I have your number already. You gave it to me in another thread. But yeah I'd like some help. I'd prefer a new LS1 if they give me enough. And if they give me a lot I'd prefer maybe an LS2 or something better. Or maybe an LS1 and some headers intake and exhaust. Just a new LS1 would suffice though. My insurance company said they'd take car of it though already. I just have to wait till monday before the adjuster comes by.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
because for roughly the same price..you can get way more then ls1 performance and better reliability...ls6 ported oil pumps are only 160ish..hardly worth buying a ls6 for....go ls2,or lq9...or if there was enough money get the ls3(possibly the best affordable engine by gm ever)

a great place to get a new motor or probably what the insurance company will do is buy a used engine, or give you what they think is a fair price to replace it.
im sure the insurance company wont go with an ls2 or ls3 or even ls7, they are going to replace it with what it came with, and since the ls1 is no longer available its probably going to be an ls6.
and im sure the kid doesnt want to deal with modifying the wiring harness and buying new sensors and having somebody tune the car. he just wants an ls1 back in.

well he isnt exactly a kid. He is 35. But even an LS6 is fine. Whats the stats on that thing? I hope they do that. They wont just give me a check and I buy the shit myself? And the LS1 is everywhere still...

Honestly the ls6 is bolt in, not much of a HP gain, though very reliable. Google is your friend

Well I see differences in the LS6's I see online. I see some that say 385 HP and some that say 405 HP. Which is it? And if its 405 thats a very nice gain...

the ls6 being offered now is 405, 243 cyl heads, and the yellow springs.
and im kind of confused on you editing your post, first you say your not a kid, your 35, were you speaking in 3rd person? i thought you were a young person who just got this car in long beach, at least thats what i remembered.
