Take the plugs out and put a wrench on the crank pulley. If it is difficult to turn or doesn't turn at all, you most likely have a bent connecting rod. I would call your insurance company. Mine covered my "water damage" under my comprehensive insurance. They wanted to total the car, but I didn't let them. I made the adjuster pay up to the point of what they considered a total loss. For my company that was I believe 85%. Then I put that toward a new engine.

Well I filed a claim with my insurance. They said a claim adjuster would be in touch with me on monday which is the next business day.

Oh wow fuck man...... GL on having the insurance pay for it, i hope they do thats a horrible way to lose a engine man WOW. Someone needs to add a DO at your own risk to that mod.... apparently if you hit a puddle its not free anymore.

Yeah. Can anyone gimme a place where I can replace this engine? Preferrably a brand new one. Or an upgrade? Just some links so I have ideas about the money required.

You probably don't want the car totaled. Once it is the title will always reflect that and trying to sell it might be a problem

dude really sorry this happened to you. the best thing to do is get in touch with the adjuster from the insurance, explain to them there was no way to avoid the puddle and everyone was going thru it no problem, and well they will take care of the rest, and if they decide to fix it rather than total it insist on taking it to the dealer.
if you want pm me, ill give you my cell, im local to you and could help you out thru this whole ordeal, i helped my other friend get a new engine when this exact same thing happened to him.
