Sarge,
I know you've said before about additives not affecting this 2-stroke treatment, but is it cool to do the TCW3 treatment and use Stabil for the winter storage?
...which gives me an idea.
the 8oz bottle of stabil is small enough and easy to use to measure how many ounces (even quarter and half ounces) to put in a tank. when youve got an empty stabil, reuse that for the TCW3 measurments!

HAHAHAAHA!!!
I can find 2-cycle oil, but not synthetic, which I would rather have...
I've found this at my local kmart, but don't know if it's really the same as the synthetic marine oil... and dunno if it'd be ok to use...
http://pennzoil.com/products/outdoor...l#MultiPurpose
or there's this: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...9&classNum=398
personally, for my own piece of mind, I'd rather have the actual marine synthetic, since that's what you tested with and know that it works...
any thoughts/advice Sarge, on those two I listed above ^^^^^ ???
thanks!Last edited by 06MonteSS; 11-06-2008 at 08:18 AM.

Well my 2004 5.3 Chevy PU has 104,000 miles and have been using the oil for 14,000 miles and heres the data 16 city to 17.4 and hwy 19.5 to 21 and to boot the exhaust pipe has turned black, anyone else have this happen? Looks like it dumped a lot of carbon out of the engine, also it runs smoother and is much quieter, not bad for a high milage truck, but on that note my last Chevy truck died at 256,000 lets see what effect it will have on this one!!

Yeah it does clean the carbon/buildup/residual stuff and blows it out the exhaust for sure. But of course that will only minimize as the cleaning is complete. Nice numbers by the way TJ!

dyno
Hello Sarge have you done any dyno runs, eg. before, on the same car and say 4 to5 tanks (with oil added) after, and does it lower octane rating of 98 which we get in OZ Cheers Nav.

I have run the Goat on the dyno but not specifically testing for any gains etc. in the horsepower department that could be attributed to this exercise. I can tell you the air fuel mixture has stayed spot on and there is no loss of HP for sure. I have always suspected a small gain myself but cannot provide you with any absolute data. I will tell you any gains will be small and I do not trust any dyno on the planet to be able to determine a small gain in HP to the point one could determine what specifically caused a 8hp gain (as a example). But you ask a great question.
I can tell you this exercise is not about HP/TQ gains but lubricating all your fuel system and top end components and cleaning those components resulting in a smoother running motor that is resulting in a more efficient motor as measured by MPG.
As for the octane effects....quite the opposite...we have seen numerous reports of knock/pinging eliminated....which does not surprise me as the 2stroke will raise the effectiveness of the burn....I suspect the octane rating remains the same but the treatment is allowing a more complete and stable burn. That is what is causing all the reports of pinging being eliminated.....not any manipulation of a octane rating per se.Last edited by Sarge; 11-08-2008 at 04:19 AM.
