LOW 13s stock with an A4 2004 GTO? Hmmmm. And a A4 is not 1/2 a second faster than a well driven M6, IF the M6 driver can drive well he'll pull LOW 13s(LS-2) and even high 12s stock.

sorry about the times....they are 04 (ls1) times.
hey Sarge I have a loud (knock) from the rear...i think passenger side (not rearend clunck) on 1-2 & 2-3 shifts, just one bang and that's it.....is that my stock member bushing letting the member hit the body?

I said the LS2 GTO would run low 13s maybe HIGH 12s, a stock 04 is a high 13 second car, the ones I see over here run low 15s due to altitude.

I was impressed with mine, stock here in maryland when I ran it was 45° best of a 13.3@100mph great weather for power, but horrible for traction...lol first run I scared the hell out of myself on the 1-2 shift when it blew alittle sideways.
I hope to get my 3,600 stall in this friday so I can run next weekend (i think that's the last weekend the track is opened). with everything that is done I'm shooting for high 11's

You will love it, that is the color I looked at and wanted it so bad! Then thought about the man and went with CG. Wish I would have gone with the red, but have had a lot of fun because people are trying to figure out what it is that just kicked there ass. I have done a few bolt ons and love the difference. I agree that you will like the gas milage of the m6 and it has plenty of power. The WS-6 Has your need for speed, but the GTO will give you the best of both worlds. IMHO, Regards, Jack Looking forward to the Pics.

There are some guys on LS1GTO.com that are running low 13s and trapping 106-110 on bone stock 04 m6 GTOs.

The GTO ran a best of 13.28 @105. Time for some suspension and tires. I need to get used to driving an M6 again because I was a little rusty at first. Didn't miss any shifts though. I love the car. I got 25 MPG on the interstate the whole way home. It is extremely quiet and smooth compared to the WS-6. One of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. I can't believe Pontiac didnt sell a whole bunch of GTOs.

You'll love it. Pontiac did not market these at all.

The little details impress me. I like the interior, the stereo, and the fact that the door handles are metal instead of cheap plastic. I think the car is capable of getting into the 12's stock becasue I was spinning through most of first every time. It does need tires though, and the wheel hop in first gear was pretty bad. I am sure suspension will fix that problem. I will probably keep the car stock for the most part. It is WAY more fun to drive than the G8, Challenger R/T and the Charger which I considered before getting a goat. I got a great deal on it too. Paid 19K for it. I'm looking forward to driving it for years.

Thanks! I'm sure it will. I still grin every time I drive the T/A. I have loved muscle cars since I was like 5 years old. It was always my dream to own a 66 GTO but I am happy with the newer one. I am truly impressed with the 06 compared to the F-bodies. Seems like GM put a lot more thought into designing the GTO than they did anything else.

Yes the shifter is the pits but I still have mine, a friend of mine has a viper and it has the same tranny and he replaced the shifter, when I drove it was like night and day don't remember what the brand was but there are a few to choose from. Hey Z28 you would like the GTO for sure, I looked at them for 3 years and i am glad went with the 06

Billet Pro Shifter is by far the best GTO shifter on the market today.
